The Last Frontier

This article assumes knowledge of all literature on white boxer in Italian and German, experience of 15 pairs of white breed boxer with a white parent and a sample of about 100 subjects children of a white boxer.

For the genetic part we have inspired ourselves to an article published 10 years ago in "Tipresento il dog" and recently re-proposed online by Denis Ferretti, who thank you for the exchange of ideas on the page of the facebook Boxer Journal. Denis Ferretti is a dog, a Bolognese breeder, passionate about the genetics of the mantle; his article concerns the congenital deafness in dogs with white coat and is not specific for the boxer breed to which we apply it.

In this speech we will discuss theories, without the presumption of introducing substantial innovations: we will therefore enter into rather technical issues, trying to use a language, which is as popular as possible. We want to make a method premise: theories are the fruit of experiences, which try to interpret in the most general way; every theory is true until proven contrary and therefore should not be confused with the ultimate truth. Therefore, even the most accredited theory could be denied by new practical evidences. Here we will introduce the theories that best adhere to the data provided by the breeding of the boxer today.
