The first big revenge of a breeder

After more than 20 years of breeding boxers with tail and amputated ears, in accordance with the official standard in force in that period, from August 08, 2000 I decided to adapt to the new standard of the boxer, although it had not yet officially entered into force (the official review of the Standard, in fact, dates back to March 13, 2001), and I started to leave my litter intact.

In the same period, in Italy, the official standard of rottweiler has changed, and in this case too, the subjects were left intact. The breeders, following the directives dictated by their official Club, have promptly adapted to the new standard, and today they can boast dogs of 7 years intact! Same thing unfortunately is not the case in the world of the boxer. Here the breeders have continued to raise amputated subjects, therefore not complying with the current standard, until the Italian law has prevented it. Subsequently the BCI, with a circular, has communicated that the boxers born after 13-01-2007, if amputated, presented to the demonstrations organized by the BCI, must be considered not to meet the standard of the race. As they say in these cases. "Better late than ever"., but we do not forget that our BCI had the right, but above all the duty, to protect the race boxer in Italy, adapting to what is established by the standard, but this has not happened, if not with 7 years of shameful delay.

Since I started raising whole things, it has been a long time, and certainly the path I had to face has not been easy. Clubs and breeders have done everything to bring me into the condition of stopping raising, but I, stubborn more than ever, have continued on my way, and today it is with great satisfaction that I realize how time and facts have given me reason!!! Yes, time and facts, because the facts prove it amply, and are in the eyes of all, despite even today only few breeders have the courage to admit it, but frankly that does not matter to me.

Of course for those who start raising whole today, it is all simpler; they do not have to fight against the Club to be protected, they do not have to do information, as years ago, whether they want to admit it or not, someone has already done it for them.

From the start, most of those who call themselves breeders and race lovers, those who proclaim to do everything to improve it, have not lost an opportunity to make my life impossible; several times I have been accused of wanting to ruin the race, I have received free criticism even from those who had just approached the world of breeding, and that certainly had little to teach others, but they felt strong and in right to speak as they were backed by the ideologies of the mass. and for those ideologies we can say thanks only to the Club, that, completely ignoring the official standard, has always encouraged the breeders to amputate, by means of the circular FCI that allowed not to follow the standard, if members of a country not prohibitionist. Personally I think that such circular could be interpreted in this way only by individuals, not by us breeders. for us the fundamental thing, that had to be followed and respected, was the standard!!

Their breeding is still intact, and therefore going against what was advertised by the official Club and by other breeders, I had to stop participating in the exhibitions in Italy, as did the judges, following the directives issued by the Club, did not miss the opportunity to penalize and exclude my subjects on the ring though widely deserving (and this is demonstrated by the titles obtained subsequently), in favor of boxers amputated. Of course this way of seeing the boxer, made so that even the German, Swiss and Dutch breeders, they no longer came in to compete in Italy. Unfortunately, however, there is still a lot of ignorance in the world of the boxer (in the literary sense of the word), mainly because of an official Club that does everything to keep members in uncertainty and not knowing, but what really angers me are the criticism, accusations and judgments of those who speak without knowing, who have never left Italy and who therefore have never seen other realities besides ours, people who speak only for hearing. well, it would be enough that only once they went to an exhibition in one of the countries of Northern Europe that I mentioned a few years ago, and that luckily for me, for years, to realize how it is all different, from the climate that you breathe inside the ring to the organization of the demonstrations. The participants are numerous, and the subjects can be judged in a fair and homogeneous way, being all strictly intact.

Fortunately for the breed and for those who really love and respect it, the law in Italy has changed. the FCI circular now has no value (for some, fortunately, value has never had it!) but some breeders, the usual who believe themselves more furbier than others, have certainly lost time to let know that "grab" the obstacle is possible, just a veterinary certificate that states that the amputation of the tail has become necessary because of who knows who. (and here the furbastri will be able to get whirled with the "incidents" most unlikely domestic...) and the subject can even participate in the exposures without being penalized!. And think that since I raise intact, that is 7 years now, to none of my female owners have ever broken the tail, especially the ones who have criticized my own, simple luck, or perhaps it will be that the tail of the boxer is not as delicate as, for interest, they want us to believe it is?. Where has gone all that love that they have always declared to have for this race?. And especially what kind of love was, if it was enough an integral tail to show the boxer under another light, and even to make them stop raising????
